Family & Consumer Education Program Committee
The FCE Program Committee is a group of elected volunteers who represent different skills, expertise and experiences in the areas of Nutrition, Financial Management, Parenting, Consumerism, Aging, Child Care and Human Services, as well as others relevant to the direction of Program development.
Program Committee Members:
- Provide grass-roots input and serve as a liaison of your community, interests, expertise and concerns to the
Extension program development process.
- Advise your program area of community needs and priorities.
- Work to establish program priorities and direction for your program area.
- Support the program development process by
recommending programs.
- Discuss and provide input into county, regional, state and
national extension program implications.
- Advise professional staff in conducting on-going evaluation of educational program efforts.
- Consider representing your program area by serving on
standing or ad hoc committees including Long Range Planning
or Marketing, if needed.
- Serve your program area and community as an ambassador
for CCE Dutchess County.
Our Program Committee goals for 2010 to 2011
- Revise the defined scope of our program(s) in preparation
for the new Cornell Plan of Work cycle.
- Develop strategies for increasing the effectiveness of our volunteer programs, including diversifying our volunteer
base and increasing the diversity of those Dutchess County residents reached.
- Making use of technology (especially the website) to better
serve Dutchess County residents.
