Open Environmental Forums and Workshops

CCEDC Environment Program staff organize regular environmental educational forums and workshops for community leaders and citizens in Dutchess County on important local issues.  Events are Free and open to the public ~ please contact CCEDC staff if you require special assistance.

In addition to regularly scheduled forums and workshops, please contact CCEDC Environment Program staff if your municipality needs a specialized environmental training (such as a short talk on septic system maintenance or GIS at a Town Board meeting) ~ educators may be able to schedule a training in your municipality based on staff availability.  We can also loan out an environmental display board and numerous environmental educational materials for municipal or community events.

Upcoming and Past Forums & Workshops

In 2010, CCEDC will be holding Open Environmental Forums and/or Workshops in January, February, May, June, September, November and December.  Workshops and Training events are held throughout the year on topics such as land use and water quality, and hands-on workshops such as vernal pool and rain barrel training.  Members of Conservation Advisory Councils and the EMC are especially encouraged to attend for ongoing training ~ but the Forums are also free and open to the public!
