Interim 4-H Youth Development Program Leader

Please join us in welcoming Patricia Hubbard as our new Interim 4-H Youth Development Program Leader beginning February 1. Pat will serve in this capacity until the regular position is filled. Pat writes, "My first recollection of wanting to be a 4-Her was at the Geauga County Fair, a rural county fair outside of Cleveland, Ohio where I grew up.  My dad explained to me that '4-H was just for country kids.'  Thank goodness, some things do change!  I had to wait until 1996 when I became the 4-H Youth Development Program Director in Suffolk County (eastern end of Long Island) to become a 4-Her!  For the next twelve years, I provided leadership for a large 4-H Club program, the Suffolk County Farm and Education Center (www.ccesuffolk.org) and numerous school and community-based 4-H programs."

"In 2008, I moved to the lower Hudson Valley and accepted the 4-H Program Director position in Rockland County.  My responsibilities there included the 4-H Club program and various leadership and career exploration programs.  I am delighted to be able to continue my career with Extension as CCEDC’s Interim 4-H Program Leader.  This county’s 4-H and Green Teen programs have a statewide reputation for volunteer commitment and youth participation.  Please help me to get to know you and the richness of Dutchess County.  I can be reached by telephone at (845) 677-8223 extension 105 or by email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
