Being a Master Gardener volunteer is a BIG time commitment but has its rewards. In exchange for your time, you will learn more about environmentally friendly gardening techniques, garden pests and plant care. You will get to meet others who share your passion for gardening and have fun! You don't have to be an expert- just be willing to learn and to share knowledge with others.
We embrace diversity in our group- everyone has an important quality or talent to contribute. When we consider applicants for the position, it is a plus (not a requirement) if they enjoy teaching, public speaking or working with children.
Applicants must be residents of Dutchess County, NY and be at least 18 years old.
Please read the CCEDC Master Gardener Volunteer Position Description.
